Are you trying to update it to fix the SC819 or for some other reason ?

SC819 says bad ram, bad controller, or software error.

You can try just putting the files into the romdata folder and skip the sub folder. I always used to do them all that way but I have found some now that only work if you use the sub folder.

Maybe bad sd card. Make sure it is less than 2gb try the smallest one you can find.

You are unzipping the files and just putting the .fwu files in there right

You can try updating via the web interface and rule out the sd card part. If you wanna try that you need to get the remote files (RFU version) .

There are issues with using newer SD cards......

I've found 1gb or smaller, version 1 or at least not a version 2 or SDHC type will work in all models. Anything over 1Gb uses a different addressing scheme than the smaller (and older) cards. The SDHC (version 2) cards again have another addressing scheme.
