    Ricoh Afficio 1232c Calibration problem

    Hi,
I have a Ricoh 1232 C and I can't get it to perform a complete calibration. When it does it gives each color but you can see they are not being laid down on top of one another-they are staggared about a half inch. I was told it could be a sensor issue.

    Please Help!

Are you talking about ACC calibration? or do you have the model wrong.

Check the transfer belt mark sensor and also check that the actual belt mark is clean and intact.

The belt mark sensor is situated behind the pcu unit.

Can you show us an example of the calibration sheet?

Is the PCU unit one of two parts that can be pulled forward out of teh unit when the front door if the unit is opened?

            Thanks

I am referring to the automatic calebration you can perform after selecting the maintenance button on the Richo 1232 C.

Got it. Pull the PCU out and check the transfer belt mark sensor on the rear as suggested by Copierdocisleofman

Don't waste your time posting anything, it will be either the belt mark sensor that is dirty or the belt mark that is damaged.
the pcu is the part that is held in by three big screws by the way.
The machine either needs a new pcu or the sensor cleaning.

                      Change the ID sensor board.

I would try cleaning the sensor or the belt mark before changing any sensors - have never had one of these sensors go down before usually the belt mark has been damaged.

Have you tried any of the sugggestion?

Still looks like a belt mark problem to me.
