Savin 2522 is the one that comes to mind but i know several different models use the same fuser. My question, the inside plastic shoulder supports that hold the heat roller in place often break. Causing noises, and wear and damage. Has anyone come up with a mod for when they break. What im saying is, has anyone come up with anything to up into that area when they break thats sdtronger and last?

This the same Fuser as on the AF1022 and AF2022 Ricoh's. I have not seen any permanent fix BUT have seen some very clever temporary fixes (see attached pdf). Where the Stripper Pawl Bracket (18) rests against the shoulder on the Hot Roller Bearings (front and back), some techs have threaded screws down through the openings (at points A). These screws prevent the Bearings from walking away from where they should sit in the cradle. Hope this helps.Attached Files -
Here's the easiest fix I've found: just use the bearings for a 1035 fuser (A2323559). The extra lip on these bearings fits on the outside of the metal part of the fuser frame so that the heat tube stays in place with or without the plastic shoulders being there.Comment
