    MP 7500

    Hi Friends,
    Model : MP7500
    Problem: Not able to update the firmware / Toner bottle motor is not working.

    All sudden the machine start giving the add toner error.
    The toner bottle motor is not rotating from output mode. There is no mechanical block in the toner hopper unit. (The motor rotates in another machine.
    When i try to upgrade the firmware of the machine: the machine boots normally. Looks like service sd card slot is not working.
    I have try interchanging the BCU/CNB & I/O board with another machine.
    BCU /CNB is working with another machine.(Toner Bottle Motor is working).
    When i inter change the I/O board with another machine - i got SC990.

    Have anyone come across like this problem.
    Please let me know.

    You will have to overcome the toner end to update firmware. SC990 software error, so I think theres some kind of mismatch of firmwares when you put the board in the other working machine.
    Try taking out the development unit and take out the toner end sensor, clean it there may be some kind of bad reading or check out if the cross mixing paddle in the development unit is not broken, I had this once. Good luck.

      Thanks,As i mentioned there is no mechanical related problems in this issue.the main thing is that the machine is not sensing the sd card from the service slot.

        toner bottle

        Had this problem last week on the same machine. They have 2 machines and when I changed the whole toner hoppers over they bothed worked?!?!

        Left them both working then got a call a few days later saying it was asking for toner again( still with the hopper from the other machine) remembered hearing of the fault from another engineer.....

        Check and clean the lower front door swith connections( the one at the waste toner hopper) Supposedly what happens is it doesnt make a proper connection and the bottle wont turn. I cleaned it last friday and its still going ok to dat(nearly a week) so hoefully this might help?!.

        Let me know how you get on

            Are you using genuine Ricoh toner? This isn't the first posting you've made about machines not adding toner.
