Type 1027 PCU in other models

I know that the Type 1027 PCU will work in several other models (3025/3030, etc), but I have not tried one in an MP2550\3350 as yet.

Has anyone tried it in these models, and does it work ok?

    Thanks

Yes I have fitted one , and it works, fine, all i had to do was dev intialisation.
the cost is slightly more but the time saved makes up for it.

We've only ever fitted 1027 PCUs to these - who wants to take the PCU apart and make it like the crappy 18 or 20 cpm machines.

You just have to run SP2-801 after fitting.

And if you replace the parts individually, the dev gears will strip and you'll have to go back and replace the PCU anyway.

Yes, I've put them in 2550s and 3350s regularly. I find the dev gears wear on the originals after a while , so best to replace the lot.
