    MP9000 Paper Jam Count

    Hi Guys

    Just a question

I have a MP9000 with 4000k copies on. At the following sp it has a count of 254:

7-504-01 Paper Jam Count At Power On

    What does this mean?

I can not belief that the customer have been switching the machine off when it has a jam.

That SP increase with 1 every time the copier is turned on and a jam is detected. Always remember: Customers never lie!
I have seen lots of people (me included) trying to clear a jam by turning the copier off and on.

      LOL, me too.
I have just printed an SMC on a MP9000 and there are no jams registered at power on, you may be looking at a faulty sensor check your SMC and see if there are jams near to that countage 200 and something is alot.
      "Houston, we have a problem"

2500K and I only have 8 jams in total, 7504-21 heatpipe exir sensor 7 and 7504-27 inverter tray 1

Clear jam history, and keep a eye on it.
