    1075 scanning problem?

    Hey techs,

I've got a weird one here. Customer calls in and says that sometimes when they are copying the scanner will move a few inches and stop. The screen will say ' copying ' and there will be progress bars moving. The only way to recover is by rebooting the unit. No service codes in the log. I scanned something into the document server and ran about 1000 prints with no problems. I ran about 500 copies with no problems. All were duplex copies. I then ran a 1 to 2 sided job and it did it to me as I was scanning the second side. The problem is intermittent. Ricoh TS says maybe cis or ncu. Has anyone seen this before? Any advise welcome. TIA.

No Error Codes? have you see it by your self that the customer is telling it right? may be the customer is copying on platen glass at duplex mode double sided...?
fix the customer first then fix the machine... its simple and makes life more easy.

I have seen it. It happened to me as I was making a 1 to 2 sided copy off the platen glass. It has to be something with the scanner as I was able to print from the document server and it seems to only happen when the scanner is moving. I am going to try cleaning the home positon sensor really good tomorrow. Any other thoughts?
