2232c envelopes smudging

problem has been ongoing for a while. intimitantley smudging the toner on the prints, sometimes it happens quite ofton.

have selected thick paper on the machine and also from the computers. envelopes print on to the external tray. have also changed the temperature in the fuser as said on the RTB for cold offset.

sometimes smudging occurs on letterhead aswell.

any advice?

How much life is left on the fuser (SP 7-803)? If it's past 70% of its life, just go ahead and replace it. Also, what's the volume on the machine per month? It may need a high volume oil uint if it's over 14,000 a month.

its a low volume machine. fuser may have done a fair amount. just wanted to know it can be something else that can cause this apart from the fuser unit. normal printing is perfect. mostly the envelops that is the problem.
