MP1100 intermittant blank

Hi Guys

Here is a cracker. MP1100 intermittently copies blank copies. If you copy one copy, it will copy blanks. Not at max speed. More like the start button is pressed after the copy comes out the exit. I have updated the firmware.

Any ideas?

Ummmmmmm but you can go into c 1993 c X5 press hard key test, here you cant test the hard keys press the start copy button see in how it shows on the LCD. you can see the key working.

Sorry for the short description but was in a bit of a hurry. Its not like the machine just starts coping. You put your original in to make 1 copy. You press start and it copies a blank copy, then after a few seconds another blank comes out and so it goes on till you stop the machine.

Does it do the same from the glass or only from Adf, did you try resetting copier applications 5801-006 or format the disks.

Yes it does it for ADF and glass. Will try reset and format tomorrow.

Btw did a NIP band test today. Tried the OHP first and could not see a nice result so i made a sky (copy with adf open) copy to see if it will give a better indication. The copy went into the fuser for 30seconds and came out blank. Then the machine made another copy and it also stayed in for 30seconds and i had to press stop to stop the machine.
