      Hello ,

we have the same problem ! I'm still searching for the reason . Nothing has changed in the firmware ...

Sometimes the lifetime of the developer has reached out of 240 K . I think this is 1 reason but not always !!!

      any suggestions anybody ? thx

I haven't heard anything related to sp changes thru @remote by someone to cause lines, but a tech bulletin came out a couple of months ago about horizontal lines and by adjusting a few sp's can help reduce the chances of these lines from reoccurring.
Get your facts first, and then you can distort them as much as you please.

Below is a pre-release tech bulletin I have used since last year, it is now out as an official TB. Basically, if the customer does high volume runs intermittently, the machine doesn't self calibrate correctly. These SP changes will cause the job to pause and self check more often. Supposedly slows down productivity but I have had no complaints.

          MPC2500/3000/3500/4500
          LD425c/430c/435c/445c
Countermeasures for streaks, lines on high volume usage
If the machine is used with high coverage and high print volume (continuous printing), vertical lines may occur with filming or dirty charge roller of drum unit before its target yield. Unfortunately, this is the limit of the machines capability under these circumstances.

If decrease of productivity is permitted by the customers, it may be improved by the following SP settings. Performing process control self check during continuous printing inhibits vertical lines by decreasing toner input to the drum.

          *SP Settings*

          SP3-224-010: 10
          SP3-224-016: 20
          SP3-237-001: 10
          SP3-511-007: 20
          SP3-511-008: 20
          SP3-512-001: 5

*Frequency of interrupt process control self check will be increased with high coverage during continuous printing (the threshold of interrupt process control self check is changed from 60% to 10%).

          Side Effects

-Productivity is decreased if the coverage is more than the changed threshold of interrupt process control self check.

-Operating time of process control is lengthened

          *Note
The above countermeasures may not be effective, depending on the usage.
