    Ricoh Aficio 240w

Ok i have having some problems, we just got a couple of new machines with windows 7.

Before when i wanted to print to the printer in XP, all i did was go plot manager of Autocad or Add Printer option in settings and it will install.

Now with these windows 7, it says driver not found. Where do i go to get drivers for the machine to get it working?

In most cases, the Vista driver will work for W7. Download it and give it a shot.

            Quick question,

i was reading old threads and it says i can print directly to the CFG folder on the print server.

I have XP on the print server

So basically, can i install the HDI drivers for 2400 for the 240 on the Windows 7 machine and then send it to the CFG folder?

Or do i still have to update the plotbase?

Plotbase version 3.7.1 supports Vista 32 and 64 bit.

You can download it from the TSC site (about 600MB) if you are an authorized Ricoh dealer. If not. perhaps you can get your local dealer to download it for you.

I don't think there's any additional licensing to go from 3.x to 3.7.1

Attached is the readme for it.

              Good luck!

i emailed my dealer to see if i can get the software update.

i've been playing around with it and I got it to print on windows 7.

print to file into the cfg folder.

the only problem i'm running into is that i'm using 2400 drivers instead of 240.

I tried printing to the bypass tray and it will always go to Auto on the 240.

tried all the settings and all it does it print auto.

is there any way to have to print to the bypass?

The version 3.7.1 supports Vista, so there's a good chance that the Vista drivers will work with Windows 7. (Of course, no guarantees...) I would think that the Vista drivers would be included on the downloaded CD.

Using the correct drivers is the best way I know of to get the paper to pull from the right source - no need to guess what the tray calls need to be.

                        RSP File

The RSP file was probably saved on the old PC. If not there is a chance a really efficient installation technician would have a copy. Do you know who installed the machine?

I have the RSP files. it is telling me the files are outdated. I went to the site and downloading the "current" one and it says the same thing
