in ricoh fax 1800L intermittent receiving pbm is found. telephone line is perfect. what can be the reason? how it can be rectified?

The best way to resolve a communication problem on a Ricoh Fax is to
print first error report, then just watch wich error codes are the more
frequent you will find in the service manual an answer for each error code.If your line is OK, you can disable V8/V34 and J big to,short preambule work to.

have you got service manual of 1800l ? First, check error code (service 03), if line signal is ok, try to perform:
1) Cable equalizer
2) reduce Modem speed (Rx &Tx)..
then try to transmit & received fax...good luck
