    Aficio MP161 -Print /scan

I have posted before with questions about this machine and the printing/scanning SD card(s). I have resolved most of my problems with some helpful suggestions from here; however, I have a new issue that's giving me grief.
Originally, I acquired an MP161 that was supposed to have the Print /scan installed, but the card had been removed. I held on to the machine in the hopes that i could obtain a card
I've since acquired another machine that does have the Print/ scan card installed and works perfectly, so I decided to swap it into the other machine and check the functionality.
I was able to make it print, but I can't access the WIM to set the network settings for "scan to folder", etc. I get a "404 NOT FOUND" error.
I was able to set a scan destination via the control panel; however, this is a very tedious process.
I updated ALL firmware, did a complete memory clear (SP5-801), checked all the network settings I could find in SP mode, and checked that "Web" is enabled in "telnet". Nothing seems to get me past the error, there also doesn't appear to be any bulletins on TSC Ricoh about this issue.
I guess my question is, would this have anything to do with the SD card? In other words, does the card pair itself to the machine when it is initially installed, and therefore a "fresh" card may resolve my problem? or is there another solution I may be missing?
I found out the the Print/scan cards aren't too expensive from Ricoh, but I'd like to know if acquiring one is going to solve my problem first
    Thanks guys!

there are two boards B880-5171 GDI Nob
        B880-5172 GDI basic

GW board on the spf is B284-5150 so there are three boards the last one is a SPF so that one my be out of question.

        found this on the net:
"With GDI or GW controller model. For USA/Europe basic model. Version. Program No. Effective Date .... B8665171E or later PCB:KC3-S:GDI-NOB:ASS'Y ..."

No it hadn't - the MP161 does not have print/scan and cannot be upgraded. You have to get a MP161spf for proper print/scan.

As alternative you can use SmartDeviceMonitor for Admin.
            1. Maybe SSL activated on MFP? In this case use httpS://<ip address>
            2. Maybe somebody chanched the access control range? In this case you can access on MFP by telnet by command "access"

You must print the configuration page for all network settings from operational panel and check all network settings.

            I hope this help you

Thanks "Imind", I guess I thought about trying to swap boards between machines to try and isolate the issue, so I'll give that a try. But I suppose if that's what the problem is, I may not want to invest in one of those to solve this 'minor' problem. As for the second part of our answer..."GDI or GW controller...." I'm not sure what you're referring to. I believe you mean
the latest firmware, but that has all been updated.

I meant this - port 80 (8080) on MFP is closed.

Thanks for the advice guys, they did help to point me in the right direction.
I have a lot to learn about "authentication", and privileges on these newer machines, but i learned a lot today.
I printed out the network I/F settings page and realized that security was set to "custom". I determined that this MUST be my problem; however I couldn't get into the "Network Security level" feature to change it. It saind "Privileges were required". this is when i did some reading on Authentication, etc. Even though it was not currently enabled, settings must have been made at some point and then the feature was disabled. I needed to Re-enable authentication, login as Administrator, then change the security settings to "0", then logout, and turn authentication "off" again, and VOILA!
Maybe this discussion will help someone else out of a jam.
                    Thanks again for the tips.
