    3224 Backgrond on Letterhead

    Hi Guys

I have a 3224, which has just had a PM (dev units PCU etc)before the PM the letterhead of the company printed was OK. After the PM there is a slight background on the embedded image of the template (MSWord 2003) I have tried differant drivers, calibration etc. The problem is if they print to a HP printer in the ther room its OK

    Cheers

Silly question time..... Do you get back ground when printing a test page from the printer sp ? or count sheet. I had this and it turned out to be the fuser. Cleaning roller - belt etc. Stop the paper before it gets to fuser and see if it is on the image. ( hope i am not telling you how to suck eggs but this machine got me once)

    regards

Not a silly question, but the problem I think lies with the file, all test pages copies, scans even other docs are fine. I'm wondering if this is a driver issue

I think its a file issue too or with a Word setting, you can look at the settngs in the Properties of the printer, there is a tab for the appearance.

hi. can you take a copy of the file onto a memory stick and print it on another machine. Also you can try printing it using a Hp laserjet 5 printer driver. This is a basic raw driver and will show proplem with other drivers. The hp5 driver will print to 99% of machine regardless of Manufacture.
            Hope this helps
