    MPC - 7500 controller card problem

    Hi

    I face one unique problem mpc-7500 controller card over network automatically going offline and after sometime online again.This four times in a day.From copier it pinging ip ok and from network also pinging ok.
    Only printer goes offline, copier and scanner in ready mode.

    Next day i replace controller card problem solved.Now my questions are

    1. Is any process to initilize or reset controller card
    2. why only printer problem and scanner ok
    3. why it is eratic offline and online again and again.

      That sounds like an odd fault. Anyway, answering your questions the only thing you need to do to the new controller is swap the NVram over I think. With regard to it going on and offline, did you try updating the firmware before you swapped the board over?

          It sounds like a chip that is overheating. Send it out for repair.

              Sorry I have no explanation for why but I remember the Aficio 350/450 series had that exact same problem all the time, only printing dropping offline, can still ping and scan etc....
              Nothing seemed to fix it until they came out with a Firmware update. Glad to hear the controller took care of it.

                  DHCP or Static address?..... Try Static if not already set
