I have cleaned optics, ccd and checked mirror positions. Ordered and replaced exposure lamp. Still goes into sc-101 and will make dirty background copy when it does. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you checked the set screw for the scanner pulley? This will break or back out.

Thanks guys for your input. Set screws were ok. I adjusted the position of the 1st. mirror assembly and it is working for now. I did not try this first because it had not been adjusted before as far as I know. The lamps were not stopping right under the white plate. This is a good forum. I used to be on the other 2 but not much happening there it seems.
