Help with Aficio 270 firmware

Hi to all forum members,
It seems that I will have to start here with a request, sorry, hope to be able (have the chance) to repay for the help in the future.

I'm in need of Aficio 270 firmware (Controller and NIB)
I know that to load firmware in the Aficio 270 I'll need the 4MB Flash Memory Card (unfortunately there is no SD-card slot in this machine!).
I also know about Ricoh Memory Card Explorer to write the firmware on the card.
Can someone provide me one of the latest firmware to download to card, please?
Also, may I ask if it is the ONLY way to load firmware in the copier?
I have heard about a method to remotely update the firmware via the network with the FTP-protocol, it is possible in this model of Ricoh?

Why do you want to update the firmware in such an old machine? May be risky...

Not long ago I had to change the print controller and now I think it may have a glitch in it's firmware (1.2.0 version)
I am pretty sure that is one of the first releases if not the very first one.
Anyway I just can't get that damned hdd working (cn506 ERROR)... and I'm sure it's ok.
Besides, odd as it may seem, duplex printing for some kind of files (pdf pages for example) it's a nightmare, sheets comes out as they want.
I mean the back of the page is printed "upside down" (and no, really isn't a driver problem)

First of all I wish to thank Paul for his help, not only for the firmware & link, but mainly for his courtesy and helpfulness.

I received the file .rar you've sent by mail and downloaded the other executable.
Will try to update soon, I hope that my pcmcia is suitable, otherwise I will make good use of link you give me.
Will update the thread to let you (and forum) know the end of the story.
