    Hi Ferastec,

I don't know any free offerings but ricoh have @Remote for toner status etc, also PCS6 which is based on Print Audit. And also Print MIB may give you what your looking for but unfortunatley they are not free.

I'm not sure you will find a free offering that will suffice.

    Thanks
    James

How does third party software like DocFleet manage to get usage reports, toner status etc from Ricoh, Xerox, Canon MFP's etc? Wouldn't they need to get some sort of code or security access from the manufacturers first? I'm quite curious about how this works. I imagine it would use ports like SNMP and SOAP.

        Thanks

There are many products out there that can monitor and collect information from the devices. Having worked in the past for one of the manufacturers I know that they give these software companies the information they need most of the time other wise they reverse engineer the rest.
We are looking to take a product called Callisto OneStop www.bits.uk.com which seems to work really well with most devices.
