Hi everyone set up a mp1600L with DDST driver and USB cable on a XP professional pc. When I press print the processing light on the MFP lights up but it stays on and does'nt print. I can ping the MFP ok but thats about it. Any ideas to helr me fix it. Thanks

It's happen only when you print on A4 paper.
if yes, you must change the default settings in the printing properties - mark Paper feed long edge (sorry, I don't remember how it wrote, 2nd tab)

Doesn''t the mfp say paper mismatch when this happens or give a warning message either on the pc or mfp? I'll check it out though. thanks

How do you ping through a USB cable? If the machine has a PCL option, the ddst drivers will not work, and you have to use PCL drivers .

Koosie is right.. Use the DDST PCL6 driver only if you do NOT have the PCL option.

Otherwise use the "normal" PCL6 driver.

I've had this problem before.

Sorry your rite Koosie, I had a bad day and couple of faults on different machines were going round in my head..It was a different machine I was pinging to, this one is USB only with ddst driver.
