    3035 feint copy/prints

I fully cleaned this machine on first visit and replaced dev and filter. PCU and transfer belt recently replaced. After 300 or so copies/prints the mag roller goes bald. so then I changed the whole dev unit. 500 copies later same thing, All bias and toner settings at default, dev motor and drive gear tuning and tb motor also.Any ideas please
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change.

You mentioned you replaced the whole DEV UNIT, so I doubt this could be the problem but is the Ground Plate on the rear of the Dev Unit (and which hooks on the Dev Filter Cover) still there? I have seen a tech lose this before. You mentioned Dev Bias was at 560 and Charge Roller bias was at 1500 so these should be OK. How old is the Charge Roller?

Ground plate how was mentioned already could be a possible cause but because you mentioned your mag roller gets bald after 300 sheets it means that is no toner is delivered to the dev unit.
I will check the 2 things toner supply shutter on the bottom of your drum unit and the toner hopper unit shutter. In ideal circumstances I will tell you to replace the toner hopper unit and OPC unit + a new bag of dev but I know you'll say that is expensive...

        1. Was it a used dev unit?
        2. The dev seal curls up and contacts drum.
        3. Poor grounding on under flywheel for drum causes that.
        4. Toner suppy unit have mylar flaps come off causing poor toner add.

I had a tech not place the dev unit stopper (or what ever that little thing that pushes the dev. unit and keeps it in position is called) back in the right position.

the tech replaced a hell of a lot of spares and spent hour of labour on a 2minute call

            Mag Roller going Bald??

Is it dumping the Dev out of the unit? it might be worth emptying the dev into a bag and checking the weight? If you are losing dev, it must be a bias problem.

            What's the reading from SP2223?

Turn the hopper in the correct direction, you should hear 4 clicks per revolution as the mylars inside flick over the exit.
