    Ricoh 2090 plockmatic issue

    Hi,

I'm having a plockmatic in the field and running on a 2090 (SR90).

The problem I'm facing right now is that when I use the computer driver to send a job (Booklet 11 X 17) to the machine, paper keeps exiting on the upper tray insted of the bookletmaker tray.

I've tried several things such as inputing booklet inside the driver or outside from the PDF file. I have check out if the right exit tray was selected. I did try to send it to the upper tray thinking it might be an inversion.

I'm thinking of the wrong firmware... or a wrong driver or corrupted driver.

    Has anybody got an idea?

    Let me know

    Thanks

Not sure about the plockmatic, but with some other booklet finishers, certain functions like stapling are not available if you have a thick paper type selected. Make sure it is a plain paper or middle thick setting you are using.
Don't take that toner with me!

Download the latest driver from Ricoh's web site, and make sure the plockmatic is enabled in the accessories tab.

I do Have the latest driver and it's enabled into the driver.

I think I have a clue. When The plockmatic is plugged to the Ricoh 2090 I go to User tools and click on Printer Output tray. I only have One choice there. It says upper tray insted of saying bookletmaker proccessor tray or something like that.

It may be a firmware version???

        Let me know

        Thanks

When you select stapling, it can't go to the upper tray.

When you send the PDF file to the document server, does that work?

If the booklet processor is attached the output either has to be a booklet or go to the upper tray, so I can only assume there is a problem somewhere that won't allow the machine to process a booklet and it is sending everything to the proof tray instead.

Make sure the machine recognizes the plockmatic in copy mode (double center staple only) and run a booklet as a copy. If it works then your definately looking at a driver problem.

Double check the driver to be sure the plockmatic is listed as an accessory, and the job is double stapled in the center (should be the only staple option if the booklet maker is selected)

If it still doesn't work it might be the printer's partition on the HDD is corrupted - you could try to format that section. After that I'm kinda stumped.

Well in fact, It works from the machine but not from the printer driver.

On the printer driver, I select the bookletmaker option. After that I open at least a 8 sheets document on the computer and send thru the bookletmaker processor using the options available on the driver. I even check on into the option finisher tray. It says bookletmaker finisher tray.

But... When I go to User tools on the machine while the bookletmaker SR90 is connected to the machine. I go check Printer Output. And then I see only one option which is upper finisher tray. I don't see bookletmaker tray. If I look at Copy finisher output, I see both.

So I'm having a ? because of this. Is there anything I might do to the switches on the machine to allow the bookletmaker to be connected to it?

                  Let me know

                  Thanks

What do you mean to the document server? If you question is: ''Does it work from the computer, the answer is yes but it only stack in the upper finisher tray.
