Ricoh 3025/sr790

I have a ricoh 3025 with a sr 790 that is doing some crazy stuff.When copying with sorting and stapling the machine will stack copies inside the finisher but will not staple or eject paper.Or somtimes it will just send them out one at a time totally ignoring the sort/staple selection.The machine is reconizing the finisher because it is still sending the copies to the sorter (not the exit tray in the middle of the copier).Any idea's

I have had this error twice. Plus the exit try goes up and down like crazy. And the staple exit belt kept going the worng way. I replaced the finsher main board. and heh presto it fixed it.
