    Connectivity help plse!!

    Hi Guys

Just need some advice. I have a scenario where there is a MPC2050 that is connect to a printer. It is at a hotel. The reception has a single pc and 8 users. Each user has a user code and is only aloud to do black and white copies. What is the best way to setup the printer so that the colour is blocked for the 8 users but each print they make still goes on their account?

Limit color printing on the machine and assign every user a user code (key operator tools).

Just btw the manager needs to make color copies. So at the moment the color copies are limited on the machine. The 8 people at reception's user codes only allow for black and white copying and the manager's allows color as well. Thing is, how to i setup the printing for the 8 people a reception so that their user code register a print to one specific user. Atm i have installed a printer driver for every user, renamed to their name. On each driver i enabled user codes (from the person who name the driver is renamed to) and also enabled lock printing to prevent them from printing on each others driver.
So if you do not print on your assigned driver, you do not have the locked printing code to release the job at the machine.

There must be a better way to do it dough?

      Thanks

        Limit color usage

Limit color copying by defaulting to BW copies and this way, only 1 person will have a code to copy in color.

          OK thanks.

And so the only way to manage 8 user on one pc is to install 8 drivers with locked printing enabled?

easier way to to get the Driver configuration tool on the TSCweb.net site. And Enable the Popup User code dialog.

When they print a box pops up asking for their code. That way driver installed only once.

Had to do this for a call center customer of ours. They have 300+Pc's that are used by up to 15 employees each per day.
