gestetner 3532 grey background and streaks

theres a couple of these machines out there with this problem which i just cant get my head round. keeps coming back after about 4 thousand prints.

i replacedthe charge roller, brush roller, drum, cleaning blade, transfer belt and blade, dev type 26. cleaned the mag roller until i can see my face init. and still the greyish background comes back in. the toners are not genuine but we have loads of other 2045s that use the same toner and we never hear from them. i believe that if u use a particular dev and a different type of toner might solve the problem. anyone had the same problembefore?

I know you have writen that you cleaned the Mag roller, however i have had this a few times and got round it by changing the Mag roller. I to could see my face in it but the Magnets inside were shot.

        Good luck

There is a conductive bearing on the drum drive shaft. Measure resistance between the shaft and ground. Should be less than 30 ohms.
