stapler not working. everytime i switch the machine off and on it shows jams in the finisher when there isnt any paper. jam code 130. i tried instld a new stapler cartridge but nothing. could not find any staples jammed. what can it be?

I've had an MP7500 do this, it turned out to be the exit plate motor right on the output of the finisher. Check if it's moving by swapping it with the staple head tilt motor, they're the same. It'll probably need another main board too.It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

i remember having this i think.
turned out to be the sns in the paper push assy. ( not sure that the correct name)
open staple assy out as you look at it on the right hand side there is an assy that pushes the paper lining it up to staple. 2 srews remove cover, inside disk with sns. mine was coverd in dust.
also , the little white arms that pushed the paper had dropped of.
