Is there such a feature on a Ricoh Aficio 401 where the customer can just run the originals through the feeder to find out how many pages there are? If not is there a feature that can be installed to make it do so, and if not is there some other device out there that will? Any help appreciated, thank you.

I don't think that this feature is available on most Ricoh models (use to be on analog Toshiba's I used to work on). If it has the fax option, they could input a dummy phone number and let it pull in the originals and count (using memory transmit) then cancel the transmission. Other ways are to scan to the Document Server if it has it or scan to a folder.
