    MP1100 jam114

    Hi all

Been working on an MP1100 that is constantly jamming in the finisher (SR500) showing J114.
It will do maybe one or two sets then jam in the same place every time, after its stapled it starts to feed out the set moves about an inch and stops.

Have swapped the whole middle bit of finisher with another and it s fine so i no its something on that unit but very expensive to replace the whole thing !!. I have swapped all motors and pretty much all sensors and still nothing

Any ideas this is driving me mad !!!!!!!!!!!!

    Thanks

Does the machine have a 'Jogger" assembly on the exit? I've seen issues with binding and positioning issues cause J115 on non-stapled sets. If there is a jogger you can remove it and the machine will run without it for testing.

i think i have had theis fault on 2 machines mp9000 if you open the jaws of the sorter a t the exit area look down into the sorter and you will see a large mylar it will look white / grey if you give it a good clean you will seeit should be black there is a sensor that looks at this guide so clean that at the same time this wll cause the paper to staple start to lift then jam the guide is alittle tricky to clean i tend to fold it back into the sorter and clean it through the main sorter door

Slot, can you be more specific about the mylar guide. Where is it located in the parts manual. I am having the same problem.

as stated before if you look into the sorter from the tray sideon the left open the exit roller/plate and look down into the sorte you will see the guide the sorter exit sensor looks down at it i cant find it on the parts manual you may need to remove the exit jogger unit to get a good view

                Hi,
Have a look at the 3 Stack Plate motors. These are known to have poor connection sometime, giving J114. Try disconnecting them and re connecting.

I tried that and even tried swapping the lifter home position sensor. Tried cleaning every sensor in the paper path. Still get 114 jams after about 3 sets are delivered with the 4th in the holding tray about 1 to 3 inches from the bottom after stapling.

Fixed it. The top jogger plate that comes down and forces the paper into the stapler position was not moving out of the way allowing the stapled sets to be delivered. Cause was a dirty home position sensor.

I want to kill my sr5000, Because it's show the Jamcode 109.

I clean the all sensor (drive section)
I clean the all sensor (paper road)
When I want to print or copy document with staple this code is show.
