    MP1100 sc115

    Hi Guys

I have a MP1100 that will jam in jam code 115 when a job is interrupted. Either by adding paper, pressing stop or the tandem tray moving over the paper. There will be a few pages in the staple tray and two pages in the duplex unit. I have swapped the sorter with a other machine and it does the same. Swapped the duplex unit as well just in case. Chanced the shift tray sensors. Cleaned all the other and the sensors. Still no joy.

    Any ideas?

Very Odd...any sc codes recorded as well? When in doubt, do all of the firmware updates.

I had J115's caused by a stripped gear in the jogger assembly, caused binding and unreliable homing movement.

Still have the Problem and this is what i have done so far:

Connected finisher to other machine and it still gives the problem. So it is definitely the finisher that has the problem.
          Changed the entrance sensor.
Changed the whole staple tray unit.
Changed the shift tray lift motor.
Changed the shift tray side-to-side motor.
Changed the two sensors on the shift tray at the side to side motor
Changed the 4 lift sensors, the 3 that sits together and the one underneath them.
          Changed the exit roller motor.
Changed the 3 shift tray height detection sensor.
          Changed the mainboard.
Changed the harness that connects to the machine.

Oh yeah and ungraded the firmware to B8305102P

          Still showing J115

The machine will also finish a job and go in the "Ready" condition for a split second and then go into J115 with no paper in the machine. Open and close the finisher door and the machine is ready again.

          ??????

I am a bit ashamed. It was something simple in the end. Try cleaning the jogger unit. Especially the shafts.

                  29 - 19 on page 48 of the SR5000 parts manual.

                  Hope it helps
