    B230/B222 jam code 54 ( Savin 2525/3535/4540 )

Have a couple of these now with jams happening intermittently out of tray 4 with a jam code of 54 , tried the clutch and both the feed and relay sensors on one machine with no results, they are running 11"by 17", paper is jammed just past the transfer belt and just coming out of tray 4 if running multiples, ran fine if I put 11''by 8/12" in the tray, also swapped feed stations 3and 4 and still jammed out of 4. They do have the optional 2 tray bank on them.

This is from Ricoh's global knowledgebase...
    [Symptom]
When doing consecutive copies using A3, the first piece of paper jams (Jam code 54: Bank SEF Sensor2).
    [Cause]
The Tray 4 paper feed unit grip roller is slipping.
    [Resolution]
Replacing the Tray 4 paper feed unit grip roller fixes the problem.

Thanks for the info, I assume they mean the feed tires when they say grip roller ? I will try new tires , although I did switch feed units with no results.

Not sure what they mean by grip roller, but I don't think it's any of the feed tires. Maybe one of the vertical path rollers slips on the shaft.

Got it fixed today , replaced the relay roller on feed stations 1&4 and cleaned all of the other vertical transport rollers. I think Ricoh realizes there is a problem with paper transport from the lower trays, the newer model I noticed now has belts in the vertical transport area.

Thanks Fearless for the assistance !
