ricoh 2090 no power

    ricoh 2090 no power

    i have a 2090 that will not start up at all. you can hear the print controller fan and the lights are coming on the print controller. but the machines is not firing up, no lights, nothing coming up on the screen absoloutly nothing.

    i tried to disconect the finisher and the document feeder. no effect
    checked the trip switch on the back of the machine and on the power supply board.
    checked the fuse on the psu board.
    re installed the psu board and the bcu board.
    also checked the plug fuse and tried plugging it elsewhere.
    also reinstalled the print controller.

    what can it be?

      try:

      - open the front door and pull out the duplex an fuser. Turn on the machine. any change?

      - remove the conn. of the paperfeedstations.(3x) Turn on the machine. any change?

      - Disconnect motors ect on the back of the machine. Turn on the machine. any change?

      - Replace powersupply unit.

      Had some problems with the wires of the paperfeedclutches. (shortcut to ground) and twice a problem with the powersupplyunit.

              Had this occur on an older machine, Was the IOB board. Oddly enough

                  Unplug the Hard drives and see if the machine boots futher (Op panel on?) then throws a HDD code.

                  Pull the tandem tray (both sides), the right unit loom can short on the tray runners and black out the op panel.

                  Was the machine been worked on before the problem? are all the plugs in the control boxes connected? (5v / 24v lines)?

                      Ricoh 2105 both lights are blowing but only spanner is turn on nothing on penal i tried to change the power supply but same

                          You have two different Powerswitch on Backside ofthe Maschine. Look up near the Bottom in Center from PSU its the Power for the Main Engine
