Savin 2535 leaving light spot in middle

I have a Savin 2535 that is leaving light areas in middle of copies. I've cleaned mag roller and replaced toner, seems to work great for awhile then at times will leave light areas again. Does the mag roller need replaced or what else might be the fix.

Check the plastic lower frame piece on the drum unit, there are three tabs that snap into place. If the center one is not snapped down, you can get the light area in the middle of the copy.

If that is not the problem, check to see if the problem is with copying only, or if it is present on internally generated prints too. That should point you either to optics, or engine. If engine, could be dev unit problem (doctor blade crusted with toner), or failing developer material.

Pull the laser shield glass. Is it dirty in the centre??

If yes it's probable that the small white filter on the dev unit is missing!

Has someone serviced the machine recently? probably vacuumed the filter up leaving a 4" slot puffing toner onto the slit glass.
