Ricoh Aficio 1060 - Lines on first 4-5 copies when using ADF?

one of my remote offices has a Ricoh Aficio 1060 and it has started showing lines on the first 4-5 copies when using the ADF and not the glass. After the 4-5 copies, the rest come out clean. what the squirrel is this thing doing?

    Here is an example attached:

Looks like electrical noise...static from slit glass? Lube glass with silicone oil perhaps?

Do you do 1 original and then 5 copies come out with lines and the rest are ok or do you do more than 10 originals and the first 5 copies come out with lines but the rest of the copied document comes out ok?

is it networked? if so can scan the documents to determin if the engine or optics are at fault.

Single sided or duplex copies? I've seen something like your problem before, it turned out to be the rear scan unit,(CIS, contact image sensor) that took a few copies before it wanted to join in and give a decent copy.
