Use the Type 28, it's the right amount of developer.

Don't expect them to last much above 40-70k after the rebuild. They do chew up their auger drive gears quite quickly after being rebuilt.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

          Hit it.

you can get the gears from katun, or precision roller.
type 28 is pre measured, type 18 is for a 1045 whiter can be used but it must be measured
or weighed correctly, not a 24

yeah lh! you have to measure the weigh , not simply putting the developer,,type 28 can use in all 2000 series,,and 3350 type 19 can use

                      Developer type

                      Hi
I rebuild these all the time type 18 or 19 will work I would replace the gears, clean the charge roller
and apply a thin coat of ne finish polish this will help stop the thin lines from coming back. if you rebuild them more then 2 times you will start having problem with them.

Ricoh tried rebuilding them for a while and they didn't last for anything. The newer machines are the same design with an extra screw so you can take it apart easier, but as already noted they don't last either. We used to be able to get the type1027 new for less than the parts to rebuild one, but that was too easy and Ricoh put a stop to it.
