Gestetner aficio 2212 (Ricoh 2022) add toner problem

Hello.
I need an advice for B089/B093/B097 machine.
I rebuild the PCU today with new parts and new dev (OEM type 28, 345grams). After developer initialization everything works fine but after 10 pages ADD TONER error apears and the print is fading. I make a couple of Forced Toner Suply but no results after another 50 pages. The print is more lighter and ADD Toner error keep to appear. I check and clean the toner hoper and everything is ok, the toner is spining normaly and toner flow.
I make the PCU to pieces again, cleaning and verify all again (not change the new dev) and after that put back in the machine. When I put it back, the toner is added corectly to the PCU in the initialization process and the print was black. After 10 pages the printing was lighter and lighter again but the ADD TONER error appears after 50 pages when the print was almost white. I have no clue about what is happening here. I make even 2: 2802 Developer Mixing. I check the TD senzor Vts and his value was 3,46. No SC error until now.

Any sugestion?

Could be the toner hopper. The flaps that send the toner down to the developer assy sometimes break loose. Replace the toner hopper. Easiest and least costly thing to try first. That's usually what it is.

make sure mag roller and toner auger drive gears in the PCU are not stripped.

Sir im sure your problem regarding with the all gear in the development unit,Did you change the gears?

Lordy knows I've never had another part go bad at the same time as working on another....you are right, can't possibly be the toner hopper. Of course when I do drum and developer, I remove the toner hopper and vaccuum the thing out and the rest of the machine.... those things could go bad if you just look at them wrong. It is what I would try first before gettting into expensive and time consuming stuff. I do the obvious stuff first, maybe I'm in the minority here.

The problem was solved this morning. It was 20.30 clock and I was not thinking very well. One of the tooth from mag roller was half broken. This gear work with lower gear from developer box and mix the developer. This mag roller gear not working at all. Yesterday I change only the gears from developer box. I hurry a litlle and from this cause I work a couple of hours for free .
About toner hopper, it was one of my first checks. I check even the 4 wings.

My advice to you in the future would be to lose the attitude, and listen to the words of experience, and actually read the problem post. The guy said he cleaned the hopper and everything was OK and toner was flowing.

I agree Fearless,totally. perhaps a type1027 pcu would have solved his problem initially.

We get the dealer price from Ricoh and it is still 45 or 50 bucks.
