Have problem with ADF, put paper on tray to copy machine beeps to say that it is there, press print button nothing happens. Changed ADF same problem, Any ideas anyone

check sensors on the adf.. clean and if clean dosent help change it.
i already have this problem, you put paper and you hear the beeps and when you press copy nothing happens. the problem was the sensor thats stays on the right side on adf.

does the green print button work anyway? does it work when u do a counter printout? if yes then look at the sensors on the rear adf on the machine towards the right.

The machine probably thinks you have the adf up. Is the flag that triggers the adf position sensor broken off ?

He changed the ADF and that did not work, so the problem is in the machine. Seems like the 'Start' command doesn't reach the ADF. Did you check the SC-history. Maybe there's some SC-code logged (SC620?). The ADF is connected to the Scanner/IO-Board, so maybe that board is not functioning properly.

Yeah I know he changed the adf but if the little black thing on the machine that jabs into the adf is broken off the machine will think you have the adf up and it won't run the adf.

do you have 5 volts on adf position sensor
