Ricoh MP161/Savin 816mf Double Feed ADF

Ok so I'm not sure if anyone out there is having a lot of problems with these Double Feeding in the ADF, but we are. We have replaced the All the ADF Rollers and the Spring Plate per bulletin 007R, the little Black One Way Clutch and still are at a loss. I see a Bulletin for PAPER Slipping Noise. I don't hear any odd noise. So any suggestions friends?

On one machine I removed the spring plate, never saw double feeding again. Strange, but it worked.

If you squeeze the spring a little so the tensin becomes a little bit less you will solve your problem..ive done this many times and it always works

We've Squeezed it, replaced it, but Never REMOVED it totally. I'll go try that now. Its in the shop.

So far so good, Removed the Spring Plate and have been running stack after stack in ADF Free Run Mode Single Side and No Misfeeds or Double pulls! Wohoo..

I also had 1 removed spring to fix....tried everything else first

Gotta say I've not been happy with Ricoh/Savin Design as of late. Getting cheaper and cheaper. Putting more money into Parts. Build em like a TANK PLEASE!
