    Ricoh RW 480 Printing Problem

    First the basics...Ricoh RW480 running Plotbase 3.5.
The plotter is functioning perfectly I can copy and it is scanning through ScanRouter to the network. When attempting to print it fails.
The Plotbase software is reporting that the RW 480 is out of toner in the Status window but the RW480 is at Ready state and toner is full. I have tried reloading the plotter through Plotbase, rebooting the computer running the Plotbase software as well as the RW480 and reseating the cable from the plotter to the computer.

I must add that I do not know the history of the failure as the customer has been serviced by another company and the customer can not give me any info as to the events leading up to the failure.

Any suggestions? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Relax! This firmware injection won't hurt...but it will take 45 minutes.

I think that plotter holds the 'out of toner' information from a previous-maybe the last-plotting job.
So i would read the history for some previous jobs logged in -then delete...

I don't know where I would find this.. the plotter has no printer log nor printer button. All of that is in the Plotbase software and I have deleted all jobs from the queue. Please advise.
      Thanks

Just want to update this with the solution. I pulled the interface on the plotter and reseated all the connections. Reboot both plotter and computer and the add toner message in Plotbase went away and indicated Ready - toner 100%.

After that I had an issue with the reader in Plotbase not allowing the jobs to be plotted. I did a System Restore on Windows to a point when they were able to print. Bamm! Printing, customer happy!
