rex rotary 2822 sc541 cannot be reset by sp mode

dear friends,

i have rex rotary 2822. sc 541 shows and cannot be reset using sp mode. is there another way to reset?

Have you physically checked the thermofuse and thermistor before trying to reset, the machine could be trying to tell you something......?

Dear CableGuy,

I've checked the thermofuse, lamp and replaced the thermistor. When I try to reset (by entering sp mode), sc indicator lit when I turn on the machine.

Base on my previous experience, when I reset SC 54x, the machine starts to initialize first, then sc indicator lit when the problem still exist.

Are you pressing the correct keys to initiate the reset...? Select '1' and then press, I think it's the photo mode key and the # hash key for 3 seconds.... It should spring into life without switching the machine off and on if all is well with the machine.
Other than that, I'm not sure, other than trying another fuser unit....

I had one that wouldnt reset, I turned off sc detection (in service mode) and then allowed mc to warm up to ready screen (after fixing fuser) and then ran sc reset, shutdown and once booted back up again renenabled sc detection and all was well again!

Regards ... same mistake, reset and an error appears when I click "ok".

what would the "photo mode" button be in my keyboard? thanks?

Ok i have resolved!.....
I was wrong I did not know what the buttons were.
the resolved click "modality photo" + "#".= OK
