Savin C3528 replace dev unit message returns

I am not real familar with this model so I thought I should ask. Is this a problem with this
    model? or an isolated case?
I replaced this dv unit twice only to get the message again. Is there something specific
    I am not checking?

    Thanks

I have this same problem with only one of these out of many in my territory. I haven't had any success at solving the problem so any help would be...umm... helpful

You mentioned you are not familiar with this product. Did you go into SP Mode (SP5-999-005 to 008) and reset the SP (from 0 to 1) for the new unit you installed; you do this before you turn the machine off, and install the new unit. If not you can still reset it; this will reset the PM revolution counter and calibrate the Dev Unit, when you turn the copier back on. You can also go into SP 7804 and do the reset there.

        Gary,
Thank you for your suggestion. I'm sure I did when I last changed it, but maybe I could just go through the
motions and see if it resets. I was also looking for a way to reset the chip itself. I've heard this works
pretty good on some BizHub models. I will check the other meters to the cyan and see if they lower.

        Thanks

There is no chip you can just go into the service mode and reset the counter.

Oh the problem I'm having may be different. I get "magenta developer unit not set properly." Or whichever color happens to be the problem at the moment. Anyone seen this?

              Ghost,
That is the message I am getting only with the cyan dev unit. Pull it out push it in no change. Unplug machine wait, no change. It has been
about a month since I saw that machine.

Try to swop connectors at the back of machine where a dev units go into and see what happens

There was an old bulletin that mentioned this problem; it may be helpful.

                    Gary,
Thank you very much for this bulletin, I am sure to find it useful.
I may be able to get back to that machine in the next couple of
                    days.
