    BICU PCB

Can the BICU PCB cause an SC401 problem in a Ricoh Aficio 400? Any help appreciated, thank you.

Oldie, Aficio 400 and 401 printer had that problem, its the clutch that makes the transfer belt left.

I've replace that part 3 times as well as the transfer unit and the high-voltage PCB. The BICU is the only part I've not replaced.

I seem to remember that Power supplies could cause any number of faults on this machine (The memory isn't was it used to be!)

Check the Power Supply for bad soldering joints

Maybe the Spring contact was not in proper place, BICU problem is SC690 but i encountered it on Aficio 2035 and found out that the ribbon wire connected on the Laser Unit was loose. Maybe your problem was same as mine a loose contact too.
