MPC3300 - Scan to multiple PDF files even though "Multipage" is selected

Talked today to a customer via telephone who complained that his machine would, since some time ago, scan to multiple PDF files (one per page) even though he selected "Multipage" from the panel.

I searched my documentations and didn't find anything related to this - and honestly, I never had one of these happen before.

I need to either give him an answer via telephone or go there myself - But I'd like to know if any of you ever had one of these or if this is a first.

    Cheers!

I've neverheard of this issue, it's hard to say if they're making the right selection without actually being there. Do they experience it with scan to email and scan to folder? Maybe needs a firmware refresh.
I realize you're familiar with how to make the settings but I'll post them for anyone else who may not be familiar. Here is the scanner guide, go to page 166. They may have the default setting set to single page, if they select multipage, once the job is finished it will revert back to single page.
    scanner op guide

In order to make multi page the default,
Registering the Default Values of the Scanner

    1. Make the necessary scan settings on the initial screen.
    2. Press the [Program] key.
    3. Press [Program as Defaults].
    4. Press [Program].
    A confirmation screen appears.
    5. Press [Yes].
The current settings are registered as defaults, and then the initial screen reappears.

Let us know what the fix is, thanks.

Make sure that "Divide & Send E-mail" isn't set for "Yes (per Page)".

      Check out the attached screenshot.

Thanks to you both - I'll contact the customer today and see what I can find out.

        Cheers!

I haven't had this problem before but I would check history and re-flash firmware, this sounds like an application/memory failure.
          Good luck

Turns out a colleague had already called the customer and solved it - customer wasn't pressing "OK" or something like that.

            Thanks everyone. Cheers!

I was going to suggest this, but... It's just so obvious, I didn't. But, hind sight's 20/20, I would have asked the client the samething. so...

That's a problem when attempting phone fixes you don't want to piss off the person by insulting them and asking something too obvious. I usually do though sometimes they get mad but usually they haven't tried it.

                  Slightly off topic, but:

I have a customer that works for an educational facility in the Midlands. She has a horrible nickname which she herself likes and quotes on a regular basis. ANY attempt to telephone fix a call with her will automatically result is your head being torn off and shoved up your arse. I love customers like that. Honest.

                  Hit it.
