Aficio 2027 - Can't Scan to Windows 7 operating system.

After creating a shared folder on my clients Windows 7 computer, i proceeded to key in the IP Settings of the computer into copier using the key operator administrator. The machine tells me to key in the password & username which i did. To my amusement the screen shows wrong password or username after pressing ok. Tried disabling firewall settings & allow permission on the PC but still the same result appears. Any help is appreciated.

Try using a fully qualified domain name, i.e. johndoe@domainname.com .

have you done this (for vista and windows 7 -32/64 bit)
1. go to open network and sharing center
2. change advanced sharing setting
3. turn off password protected sharing then try again.
if your settings is right then i am sure, it'll work.

Check that you have given the user you are trying to authenticate with access to the share. Don't forget there is a network firewall as well as the windows firewall. Also check that the anti-virus is not blocking the scan.

Try putting in the path instead of browsing the network. (such as \\hostname\sharedfolder) It worked for me with windows 7
