Hi, I would like to inquire about Aficio 220/270. What are the common problems of this machine? About the PCU, we have encountered that after we replace the gears of the PCU, after several copies the gears are damage again causing the toner to spill or is it the overtoning that cause the damage of the gears? Are there some adjustments to be check or made, on the toner supply maybe? Thank you very much.

Dont rebuild the PCU, replace the whole thing for the reason you mentioned.sigpic

PCU Rebuilds
I disagree with the other 2 posts. I have been rebuilding these PCUs for 5 years and sucessfully rebuilt 100s. I have learnt things to assist in successful rebuilding---- a PCU cant be rebuilt twice, must use a grease for the o-shaft gears., use only type-19 dev and when rebuilding only fill dev into the auger under the mag roller not the auger that the toner is first transported into. So try it again and see what happens. I have to buy new units from time to time cost about $200 AUD. Your unit you speak of here is obviously no good.Comment
