Density drop on Katana 1350

Dear All
I am Marin from Croatia and I have some problems with my katana . My Customer have 9 katanas ( 2 x 9000 , 3 x 1350 , 2 x 1356 , 2 x 1357 ) and they print telophone bills . Two 1350 have same problem with density dropping . That I can see on BAR code and OMR . I make PM , Put new DEV. unit and developer Transfer unit , corona units , new Drum , even new Drum shaft and machine stjil has problem . For 100 pages is ok then density drops ( Vsp is 0,9 VT is 3 ) and machine do nothing , then after 200pages is ok , nad so slovly density drops . Until machine ha 150K it prints almost white .
Does enybody have some idea , and maybe same problem that solve . Ricoh says that they dont have such problems ever .

try this it worked for me.....set sp2506 to on then change it to 7 minutes what that will do is prosses control every 7 min.

Your toner add tubes may be partially clogged if the density is light from lack of toner. Also check to see what your TD sensor is reading. The sensor might be failed or the wiper for it may be off of the developer auger inside the unit.

Today I put new developer unit and nothing is better . Tubes are good , I cleaned it , and toner hopper is full . I alo set patterns during job to 50 , so machine check id patterns every 50 prints , and nothing .

Transfer Unit

I have some Probs like this but only partially
Its the transfer Unit it give Overload to the Drum
First i tried to change all other Parts, but the same Prob after changing the Transferunit its never come up

I changed Transfer unit also , and same problem . Ricoh told me that grounding of building is not good ????? And how then other machines work fine ? I am at dead end

Did ypu put another toner dispens. assy to see what happens? One hundred copies are very few to search furthermore...Quenching also.

what do You mean under " toner dispens " . ? How can I check quenching ?

I mean Toner Dispensing Assembly or Toner Hopper, just above Developer Tank. It is full as you said but do a manual check for toner dropping into the developer case.
As for the Quenching Lamp make a search through diagnostics procedure SP 5-804..

Adjust SP2-209 Toner supply Rate from default 1300 to 1000, this extends the toner clutch on time. Set SP2-974 to zero allowing toner replenishment every copy if required (Default is every 2 copies) and reduce ID interval to every 5 copies in SP2-210

Toner rec. is off . I make changes as told . Now I have still poor density and VSP is 0.19 , and VT is 3.45 . That means that pattern od drum is OK and there is too much toner in the dev. unit !!? Is this right ?

I I wont that transfer to transfer more toner from drum to paper should I increase or decrease Transfer current under 2 301 from 130 ? I try to put it on 100 , and 160 , but I didnt see any diference in density

Hi,

Try replacing the Toner supply roller motor, especially if the TD sensor reading (VT) is Good when the copies are pale.
Have had a few of these play up.
