MPC2800: Can't logout with "key" key.

Have an MPC2800 with user codes. In order to logout from a user code, I need to press Stop and Clear (red and yellow keys) at the same time, because the key with a "key" (at the right side of the panel) doesn't work. Is it me or is this just dumb? Can't this key be used to logout of a user code?

I can't find any info on this. Any help is welcome.

    Cheers!

    Hi,
The button with the Key on it is for logging in and out of Administrator mode when It is set to on.

User codes will automatically log out after a period of time but can be forced by pressing Clear Modes and clear stop together.

I kind of assumed that already, but I think it's plain stupid to press Stop and Clear to logout when you already have a "logout" key on the panel.

It's one of those "doh!" moments we have everyday.

I agree...that's just dumb, but "That's the way it is", in the immortal words of Walter Cronkite.

I guess if that's a real issue, you can change the "auto log out" to a shorter timeout.

Not, it isn't. Not really. The users just press the powersave button.

I find it just sad when the IT guy asks us "But why can't they press this button here to logoff?" and we have to shrug sheepishly.

You could also use the "Energy Save" button (Wavy lines). This will put the machine into the 1st level of sleep mode and when pressed by the next user will require a user code to be entered.
