    savin 2527 scanner setup??

I have a savin 2527 which doesn't have SMB and I'm trying to find the easiest way to have it scan. I remember in the past I needed scanrouter software but it would only work on xp. Is there any software or anything hopefully free that I can use to scan over the network to a folder? I have a 2008R2 server and a win7 machine. I could create a xp virtual machine if needed but i'm trying to find the best/easiest route.

    Thanks for all your help

The problem is your 2008 server....I believe that Savin 2527 is the same as Ricoh Aficio 1027 ? correct me if I am wrong.....
Microsoft security policy does not support this old smb protocol...You can install scanrouter lite on your Win7 machine with no problems...Only thing is again security, but you can set the level of security yourself! So for stand-alone no problem, just share the scanfolder on your network.

I believe they're the same. I was wondering if there's anyother programs or anything I can use instead of SR lite? I believe it doesn't work in win7 does it? I remember it not working in vista. All I really need is some way to scan something into a folder easily. Is it possible to do something like scan to the builtin harddrive then access it? I only plan on scanning reciepts and stuff then moving the files monthly to an offsite server.

A friend of mine has SMB scanrouter lite up and running on WIN7... just install SRL and trial and error.... When you have it running, just share the folder were your scans are on the network

Try the search function on this forum. I'm pretty sure I read some fairly recent posts addressing this specific issue.
