Ricoh firmware on non-Ricoh branded kit??

Hi, as per the title really, am I safe to update a Gestetner badged version of a 2022 with Ricoh firmware (as Ricoh is the only firmware I have access to)

I'm thinking the only difference i'll see is the manufacterer info change on the SP list print-outs etc?

    Anyone done it??

I had that doubt before here on the forum, and I've been told by several colleagues here that the firmware is the same no matter the badge on the machine. I've also reflashed the firmware on several Nashuatec and Savin machines without any trouble.

      Hi
You should not have any problems with using firmware from Ricoh. I was using a lanier firmware file for the 1045 years ago and that was supplied to me from Ricoh.

The firmware is the same. And the name on the SMC sheets is a reflection of an SP mode setting 5907, I think. Called Plug and Play name.
