Halo'ed Black Letter Font in Full color mode

Anyone know of a Fix for when printing in full color and your text that is in black is printed in full color and has a halo about it?

Customer is using a Savin C5050 (swear this machine has been more of a pain, though its probably the customer wanting this thing to dance)
they are using the Newest RPCS Driver, the firmware is up to date on the machine. The are printing booklets from Microsoft Publisher on letter and ledger

    Try this...
    • Go to printing preferences on the driver
    • Select the print quality tab
    • check the "User setting" box
    • Select the "Change User Settings" button
    • In the Image Adjustments tab, check the "Print all texts in Black" (You might also change the dithering from automatic to text, I'm just not sure how that will affect any graphics)
    • Save the User setting

If this doesn't work, check back. I've had other issues with Publisher and sometimes it's a firmware fix, other times trying a different driver corrects it.

I think TeeBee is on the right track; see if there is a "Print all text as Black" option in the driver.

Of course, the setting is kinda useless if the text is an image.

In the print driver choose "Black Over Print" to correct the problem.

In the RPCS driver choose --> Printing Preferences --> Print Quality tab --> Put a check in the User Settings box --> select Change user settings --> Put a check in the "Black Over Print" box --> Apply the settings.

Thanks for all your suggestions. I have tried a few weeks ago with Teebee's suggestion, but that takes ALL TEXT and Prints it Black.

All Colored Text = Black, all Text turns black.
Publisher in the preview will put a red squiggly line under text that now appears black but wasn't before.

I'm betting on Slot or Ricoh-ono. Testing Ricoh-ono solution today probably.

Did you ever manage to solve this? I'm having this issue on a MPC2800...

Been way too long since I serviced a Ricoh. I do not remember the fix. I am thinking it was something in their software.
