    Ricoh cl7000 toner supply error

I have a Ricoh cl7000 that printed faded black copies for a while then give the toner empty message. Toner is still over half full.
I removed and blew out the black toner supply tube. Makes no difference.

Where do I start to troubleshoot this problem?

Probably the toner supply pump, its a bit of a job. Try first though removing the toner cartridge, and vac out the nozzle, just to see if there is a blockage. If you do decide to chage the supply pump, you might as well chage all of them, if the machine quite old or seen heavy use, its a bit of a job to strip down for one so do them all.

Is there any way of telling for sure if it is actually the toner supply pump? Replacing all 4 is going to run almost $1000...

Ok I got a new toner supply pump and installed...I still have the same problem. I made sure that toner supply tube is not blocked. If I remove supply tube just below the toner hopper I get toner coming out there =) . Any other ideas?

Have you replaced the Bk dev unit yet? If not, you may have a broken gear/auger preventing toner from mixing in.
