    savin 9040 jamming

ive got a customer that has a savin 9040 that is having a jamming issue however the machine only logs the jams at power on no where else in the smc report. i get there remove the jam that is there and run over 200 copies without any issues. i reset the jam counters and then the next day go back and the jam counters show they have had over 30 jams all logged at power on. i can never get it to jam or anything while im there and the machine only has about 80k copies on it. im thinking it could be a power issue either with the machine itself or from the customers power source any ideas would be helpful

Does the machine have a bridge unit? If so glue so shimm stock on the actuator. It is possible that the bridge unit is causing the problem.

we have had a few problems like this with the bridge unit and the smc shows power on jams. try replacing the 2 push button switches.

Yeah Bridge Unit same here. Savin even suggested we check there when we called in. If customer leans on bridge unit or finisher while it is copying that is all it takes for the pressure to not be enough on those switches.
